I really do plan for most of my posts to be related to science misconceptions, but I just stumbled upon this today and thought it would be perfect for this blog. Educators, of course, aren't the only ones who have to field stupid questions. This is a hilarious essay by an airline reservations agent, about the many stupid questions she has had to handle.

This blog will be devoted to science misconceptions that I have stumbled upon either in my teaching, my work in planetariums, or in my research. As I consider myself an astronomy educator first and foremost, most of the misconceptions will be related to astronomy. Of course, other areas are rife with misconceptions, too, and any fun ones that I find I'll write about.
